Frank Family Vineyards 2008 Reserve Sangiovese is a deep scarlet red color. The aromas are explosive; ranging from ripe raspberies and juicy Satsuma plums to candied cherries and rhubarb pie, with hints of clove and cedar chest throughout. The palate leads with a solky structure, boasting bright youthful flavors of wild thimbleberry's and fresh squeezed cranberry lemonade. As the soft tannins linger, juicy cherries, pluot upside-down cake, anise seed, and tea leaves are exposed, giving a long concentrated finish.
