Frank Family Vineyards 2008 Reserve Zinfandel is a dark ruby-purple color. The aromas are abundant, bursting with juicy Bing cherries, ripe blackberries, blueberry jam, and spice. Further complexity is exposed with notes od dried berries, chocolate dusted almonds, and smoky roasted cashews. The palate is luscious and bold; up front it is loaded with bramble berries and vanilla, followed by a chewy richness where butter tarts and warm cinnamon toast emerge. This bounty of flavor is gracefully supported by a tannic structure that provides subtle grip and wonderful strength.
