The sun is shining and the vines are sleeping, win The sun is shining and the vines are sleeping, winter dormancy is here!
❓Did you know... Winter dormancy is a critical phase in the growth cycle of a grapevine. From late winter to early spring, dormancy helps vines tolerate cold winter temperatures. Although it may look sunny during the day, the Napa Valley can experience daily temperature swings averaging 20-30 degrees, dropping to near freezing temperatures at night. Dormancy is necessary for a successful bud break come spring!

Thank you @owenbargreen for the amazing wine revie Thank you @owenbargreen for the amazing wine review of our 2018 Lewis Vineyard Pinot Noir!

“Superstar winemaker Todd Graff first started with Frank Family in 2003. I love his wines across the board as he has really earned a fantastic reputation for his Chardonnay wines over the years, but he also makes a sensational Pinot Noir. While Frank Family’s entry level Carneros Pinot is fantastic, their crown jewel, the ‘Reserve’ is sourced from their Lewis Vineyard, located in Carneros along San Pablo Bay. This wine is aged for ten months in 50% new French oak which integrates so well with the fruit. I adored the 2018 Lewis Vineyard Pinot Noir (93 points) which is fresh and vibrant with a wonderful rich mouthfeel.”
