Perhaps our most memorable and frequently recurrin Perhaps our most memorable and frequently recurring guest on our virtual tasting series is Chef Christina Machamer, whom we have had the pleasure of working with even before our virtual tasting series launched. Now, thanks to the power of the internet, hundreds of you have had the opportunity to know her and cook alongside her. In the first post from our “Women in Wine” series on the blog, we’re getting to know Chef Christina - what led her to the culinary world and what she does in her free time. Did you know our property has a long and storied h Did you know our property has a long and storied history? The Hanns Kornell Champagne Cellars occupied the Historic Stone Building that stands tall in the front of our winery from 1958 to 1992, when the property was sold to Richard Frank, proprietor of Frank Family Vineyards.
🥂
Hanns Kornell was the first to introduce the French Méthode Champenoise sparkling winemaking technique to California - a technique that we still use today at Frank Family Vineyards. Kornell helped to pave a new path for wine production in the Napa Valley. Today, we produce high-quality, California Sparkling Wines as a hat tip to the legacy of winemaking pioneers that came before us.
Happy International Women’s Month! Throughout Ma Happy International Women’s Month! Throughout March, we will be honoring the women of Frank Family and sharing their amazing contributions to our family winery and the wine industry at large. Check back weekly and prepare to be inspired!
