As 2017 comes to a close, we look forward to all the amazing opportunities the new year will bring. For all of us at Frank Family, 2017 was a year of adventure and new experiences, and we are so excited for all that 2018 holds. We will welcome 2018 with open arms and full glasses, and wanted to share three ways to perfect your New Year’s Eve gathering.
A glass full of bubbles is absolutely necessary when the clock strikes midnight. We’re partial to our 2013 Blanc de Blancs; its brilliant, vibrant acidity perfectly balance the toasted brioche notes and hints of green apple you’ll find with each sip. There’s no better way to start anew than with a wine that tastes like daybreak; a crisp new beginning. Wondering how many bottles to buy to make sure nobody leaves thirsty? Click here.
A Simple Color Scheme
Simplicity breeds elegance when it comes to a holiday gathering. Chances are you’ll leave your halls decked for the holidays until after the first of the new year anyway, which means the bulk of the decorating is already done. We suggest you pick one or two festive colors for your party decorations: for instance, white table cloths, and gold balloons. Mixing it up with patterns or flowers is a nice touch, but not always necessary for graceful, festive décor.
Easy-to-eat small bites
There’s nothing like a chocolate fountain or cheese fondue. But we think the best way to please a lot of people without stressing over timing, dietary restrictions, or cleanup is to have many mess-free and stress-free options. Some of our favorite simple small bites are below.
- Cheese and charcuterie plus a couple of bread and/or cracker options…voilà!
- Plenty of olives: need we say more?
- Marcona almonds
- Bacon-wrapped grilled figs
- Spinach Puffs
From our family to yours, Happy New Year!
