Wines to Enjoy this Spring

2014 Brut Rosé

While we don’t think there is a wrong season to drink pink, but springtime might just be the best time to sip our sparkling Brut Rosé. The latest vintage is lively yet balanced, with nostalgic, summery flavors like strawberry sherbert, orange peel, and fresh red cherry woven throughout. An enticing shade of salmon pink, the abundance of finessed fruit flavors on the nose and in the palate are framed by toasty, creamy nuances.

2016 Reserve Sangiacomo Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

A brand new wine for Frank Family Vineyards, the Reserve Sangiacomo Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is sourced from the iconic Sangiacomo vineyards on the acclaimed Sonoma Coast. Perfect for spring, this wine delivers delicate apple pie aromas, complete with cinnamon and fresh pastry crust notes with glimmers of lemon drops and white flowers. The palate is restrained, fresh, and elegant with layers of candied lemon, freshly cut Bartlett pears, plumeria blossoms, and lemongrass cuttings offering glimpses at the incredibly seamless depth, finishing long and minerally. This is a wine club exclusive wine.

2016 Beckstoffer Carneros Lake Chardonnay

Another wine club exclusive, new addition to our portfolio, our Beckstoffer Carneros Lake Chardonnay is the first of its kind from the legendary Beckstoffer property in Carneros. The predominant maritime influence of the Pacific Ocean creates the cool temperature, fog and wind that make Carneros ideally suited for growing cool climate varietals. Full-bodied and round with a luxurious creaminess to the structure, the 2016 Beckstoffer Chardonnay features a gorgeous nose of juicy pear, struck match, and heavy whipping cream. Graceful acidity balances the richness; and flavors of pear tart, crushed stones, and sliced Golden Delicious apples fill the palate finishing long with touches of oak toast and minerality. It’s a bounty of springtime flavors, and we can’t wait for you to try it.

2016 Lewis Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir

Here’s one for our red wine lovers. Our smallest production reserve wine, the Reserve Pinot Noir is sourced entirely from our Lewis Vineyard. Located in the heart of Napa-Carneros near the shores of the San Pablo Bay, the Lewis Vineyard was purchased by Rich Frank in 2000 and is named for his grandson, Lewis. Deep dark purple in color, the 2016 Lewis Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir offers seductive black cherry, roasted savory herb, and caramel notes with a toasty undercurrent of espresso beans, cloves, and grilled meats. Structured, rich, and round, it delivers silken blackberry, violet, and spice flavors with bracing freshness and a lengthy, savory finish. This wine is perfect for pairing with grilled vegetables, grilled meats, and fresh salads this season will soon bring!
