Originally purchased by Rich Frank in 1990, Frank Family\u2019s Winston Hill Vineyard has been the heart of our Cabernet wines since Frank Family\u2019s inception. This beautiful property rises 500 feet above the valley floor on the eastern slope of the Rutherford hillside. It produces Cabernet grapes with extraordinary concentration and power thanks to its well-drained, rocky volcanic soil and its exposure to intense afternoon summer heat. Our iconic Winston Hill is the inspiration behind our newest tasting room experiential offering, rightfully named the Wines of Winston Hill Tasting.<\/p>\n

Starting March 1, 2019, we will begin taking reservations for this true Cabernet lover\u2019s experience. The tasting will demonstrate single vineyard versatility while diving into four wines that all share a common source of origin. Guests will enjoy our namesake flagship wine, Winston Hill<\/a><\/span>, as well as our famous Patriarch Cabernet<\/a><\/span>, our winery exclusive Owner\u2019s Blend, and tasting room favorite, Rutherford Reserve Cabernet<\/a><\/span>. To show how our Cabernets evolve in the bottle over time, a library wine from our cellar will conclude your visit.<\/p>\n

The Wines of Winston Hill Tasting is the vision of Frank Family\u2019s Director of Hospitality, Liam Gearity. With Frank Family\u2019s diverse wine portfolio that spans sparkling to red to dessert, Liam wanted to create an experience for our dedicated guests to focus their time exclusively on our award-winning Rutherford Cabernets.<\/p>\n

Due to the intimate nature of this experience, reservations are required to guarantee a seating. This hosted experience is available Wednesday through Sunday at 1:30pm and 3:30pm.
