The release of the 2016 Owner’s Blend comes on the heels of the successful inauguration of the 2015 vintage in honor of our 25th anniversary in 2018. Originally created to commemorate our milestone year, this limited-edition wine was so well received that we decided to make another! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inclusion of 16% Cabernet Franc adds beautiful aromas of blackberry blossom and red currants. Balanced and rich in the mouth, its notes of cassis liqueur, dark chocolate, and leather are stunning. The finish is round and refined and will continue to develop and age gracefully in magnum for three decades or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The near-perfect 2016 growing season was cooler on average than the previous three. We experienced ideal weather conditions throughout the season with mild temperatures during the day and cooler nights. No significant heat spikes took place in the final ripening stages, yet fruit came in all at once and wrapped up before the valley\u2019s first significant rainstorm in mid-October. As a whole, 2016 delivered outstanding quality with an expressive fruit character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
