This delicious sauce combines the deep, complex flavors of Frank Family’s Napa Valley Zinfandel with the smoky, tangy essence of traditional barbecue sauce.
|2 Tablespoons||Olive oil|
|½ Cup||Green onions, chopped|
|2 Cups||Frank Family Zinfandel|
|1 Cup||Soy sauce|
|½ Cup||Dijon mustard|
|1⁄4 Cup||Brown sugar|
|1⁄4 Cup||Fresh parsley, chopped|
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook green onions for about 5 minutes, until tender.
- Pour in the Zinfandel and cook until reduced by half.
- Mix the ketchup, soy sauce, mustard, and brown sugar into the saucepan with the wine. Reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes, until thickened and well blended.
- Remove from heat, and mix in the parsley. Immediately brush onto your favorite meats or refrigerate until ready to serve.
