Frank Family Vineyards Celebrates World Oceans Day in the Ocean State

On June 7, in celebration of World Oceans Day, Frank Family Vineyards partnered with 4ocean to host a shoreline cleanup at the historic Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island. World Oceans Day is a global movement dedicated to honoring, protecting, and conserving our oceans. It serves as a reminder of the importance of these waters to life on Earth.

Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Newport Bridge and Narragansett Bay, and surrounded by a community of dedicated volunteers, we removed an impressive 178 pounds of debris and microplastics from this beautiful coastal landmark.

The day brought a bewildering mix of weather—alternating between rain, fog, and sunshine—but our spirits remained high throughout. After finishing our hard work, we set sail through Newport Harbor and enjoyed lobster rolls and Frank Family wine, celebrating the positive impact we had on our oceans.

Every bag of trash collected reminded us that no shoreline is too small to protect. Thank you to everyone who showed up with heart and hard work. Your dedication fuels our mission and inspires us to continue fighting for cleaner, healthier waterways.

We are especially proud to extend our presence in Newport through a new partnership with Newport Restaurant Group, the largest locally owned restaurant group in Rhode Island. Our Carneros Chardonnay is now featured by the glass all summer long at three of their celebrated properties—The Lawn at Castle Hill Inn, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, and the Boat House in Tiverton. It’s the perfect pairing for a coastal summer committed to sustainability and community.

Our journey continues from coast to coast, with upcoming cleanups planned in Cape Cod, Seattle, Lake Tahoe, and beyond. Visit our website for the latest event updates as we continue to expand our efforts throughout the year.
