How to Make a Chardonnay Bottle Bouquet

Treat the wine lover in your life to a perfect pairing – wine and flowers! Follow our step-by-step guide to enhance your favorite bottle of wine with fresh, seasonal florals – perfect for Mother’s Day.

What You’ll Need

Select fresh flowers that will complement your wine and occasion. Mix and match colors, textures, and sizes to create a unique and visually appealing bouquet.

Cut the Foam Block

Use a sharp knife to cut the foam block to fit the neck of the bottle.

Add Foam Block to Bottle

Gently press the top of the wine bottle into the center of the foam block until fully secure and the top of the bottle is visible. Trim any excess edges to form your desired shape.

Soak Foam Block

Once trimmed to desired shape, carefully remove the foam block from the bottle and completely submerge it in a bowl of water for a few minutes. This will ensure the foam will retain moisture and keep your flowers fresh.

Add Flowers

Place the wet foam block back onto the top of the bottle neck. You may want to wrap your block using plastic wrap to avoid excessive dripping. Cut flowers to desired length and begin inserting them into the foam. Start with large blooms in the center and work your way outward with smaller flowers and greenery to create a balanced arragement.

Ready to Gift

Your wine bottle floral bouquet is now ready for gifting (or keeping). When it’s time to enjoy your wine, simply slide the floral arrangement from the bottle and uncork. The floral block can then be transferred to another vessel. Flowers should stay fresh while inserted in the wet foam block for 3-5 days.
