This salty-sweet recipe is so easy to whip up and can be doubled to feed a crowd. Add a final drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of sea salt for the perfect homemade butter that will look as good as it tastes.
The beautiful notes of honeycomb, vanilla bean, and warm spices found in Frank Family’s Carneros Chardonnay seamlessly mirror the flavors of this honey butter and makes for the perfect pairing.
|1 Stick||Unsalted butter, softened|
|3 Tablespoons||Honey, raw and unfiltered is best|
|¼ Teaspoon||Ground cinnamon (nutmeg or pumpkin spice also work)|
|⅛ Teaspoon||Kosher salt or Maldon sea salt (plus more for garnish)|
- In a measuring cup or mixing bowl combine the softened butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt.
- Using a hand mixer, whip the ingredients together until the butter is light and fluffy.
- Transfer the mixture to a small serving bowl. Lightly drizzle honey on top, followed by a dash of kosher salt or maldon sea salt.
- Serve promptly, or refrigerate for later (let the mixture come back to room temperature before serving). Butter can be kept, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
