Winning Jalapeño Poppers Recipe to Serve on Super Bowl Sunday

12 eachJalapeño peppers
6 ozCream cheese, softened
½ tspGarlic powder
4 ozShard cheddar cheese, shredded
¼ CupGreen onions, sliced
¼ CupPanko bread crumbs
1 TbsButter, melted
To tasteSalt and black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 400º Fahrenheit.
  2. Wearing gloves, slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon, remove the seeds and veins.
  3. In a bowl mix cream cheese, garlic powder, cheddar cheese and green onions.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine Panko bread crumbs and melted butter.
  5. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly in the jalapeños and top with bread crumbs.
  6. Place them a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the jalapeños are golden and bubbly.
  7. Cool 5-10 minutes before severing and enjoy!
