Giving Back to Tampa Bay: Frank Family’s Latest Beach Cleanup with 4ocean

At Frank Family Vineyards, caring for the land goes far beyond our vineyards—it’s a commitment we carry into every community we touch. Earlier this month, we brought that mission to Florida’s Gulf Coast, hosting our second beach cleanup of 2026 in partnership with 4ocean. This marks the seventh cleanup in our ongoing nationwide event series, and one that left a meaningful impact on the Tampa Bay shoreline.

A Strong Turnout for a Stronger Coastline

Held at Picnic Island Park along the shores of Tampa Bay, the event brought together an incredible group of 60 volunteers. Among them was our Senior Winemaker and General Manager, Todd Graff, who traveled from Napa Valley to join in the effort—underscoring just how important these initiatives are to our team.

Together, volunteers rolled up their sleeves and removed an impressive 232.59 pounds of debris from the coastline. Every piece collected helps protect marine life and preserve the natural beauty of this vital ecosystem.

Why It Matters: Protecting Mangroves & Marine Life

The Tampa Bay area is home to expansive mangrove forests—one of Florida’s most important natural defenses. Mangroves act as nurseries for marine life, improve water quality, and protect shorelines from erosion and storm surges. Unfortunately, pollution and debris can severely disrupt these delicate ecosystems.

By removing waste from areas like Picnic Island Park, our volunteers directly contributed to safeguarding these mangroves and the wildlife that depend on them. It’s a small but powerful reminder that collective action can lead to real environmental change.

Community, Connection & (Very Stylish) Pups

Beyond the environmental impact, the day was a celebration of community. Volunteers showed up with energy, enthusiasm—and a few four-legged friends. Several pups joined the effort, sporting their Frank Family bandanas and quickly becoming some of the day’s most beloved participants.

These cleanups are about more than just the work—they’re about building connections, sharing purpose, and creating memorable experiences together.

Raising a Glass to a Job Well Done

After a rewarding morning on the beach, the group gathered to celebrate at Steelbach along the Tampa Riverwalk. Over brunch and glasses of Frank Family wine, volunteers toasted to their hard work, new friendships, and the shared commitment to protecting our planet.

Looking Ahead

As we continue our certified cleanup partnership with 4ocean, we’re proud to see this initiative grow—seven cleanups in and counting. Each event reinforces our belief that sustainability is not just a practice, but a responsibility.

To everyone who joined us in Tampa: thank you for making a difference. We look forward to continuing this journey together—one shoreline at a time. Next up – Galveston, TX!
