In honor of National Margarita Day this Wednesday, February 22, we’re combining our vibrant Carneros Chardonnay with blanco tequila to make an inventive and deliciously refreshing wine cocktail, just in time for spring. This wine and margarita blend is everything you want out of a margarita…but more!
The recipe may be straight-forward but the ingredients you select make all the difference. We recommend using top-shelf liqueur, opting for Cointreau over Triple Sec, and choosing only the very best wine to pair with it. This recipe yields 12 servings.
|1 Bottle||Frank Family Carneros Chardonnay|
|3 Cups||Blanco tequila|
|1 ½ Cups||Cointreau|
|1 ½ Cups||Fresh lime juice|
|To taste||Kosher salt and fresh limes, for garnish|
- Add all the liquid ingredients to a large pitcher.
- Stir together until thoroughly combined.
- Serve over ice in a white wine glass or margarita glass. Salt the rim and add a lime wheel or wedge for garnish if desired.
